The car, designed by art director Carol Spier and was one of only two made, is fully efficient and complete and was used right through the film. The car was later bought by Stephen Lane, founder of Prop Store and is now up for grabs as it will be auctioned by international auctioneers Coys.
Stephen Lane said: "I bought the Nautilus from the film company after 'The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen' came out because I loved the car, loved the design and felt it was one of the most emotive vehicles I'd ever seen, a true design icon."
